时隔一年的 RWBY 台词收集，这次是 Volume 02 自己收集的一些台词。

Episode 01 Volume 02 — Best Day Ever (Transcript)

没门。
— Mercury
一开始的时候 Emerald 想把偷来的钱给 Mercury 让他闭嘴，Mercury 想了一下表示不能接受。No deal 还是很简明易了。

I barely have enough to get by…
我都没钱过活了……
— Mercury
Mercury 装着求饶的态度对 Emerald 说不要偷他的钱什么的。Barely 似乎比 hardly 更常用到，而 get by 则是维持生计。

I am not a crook.
我又不是小偷。
— Ruby
Ruby 向 Weiss 澄清并没有偷了她的夹子。Crook 比起 thief 还是没有那么常见。

I don’t know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store.
对你的想法我是要感到骄傲呢，还是要感到害怕呢。
— Weiss
听着 Ruby 的计划，Weiss 表示担忧。Have in store 并不是真实的商铺，而是想法计划等等。

I think I might sit this one out.
我还是跳过吧。
— Blake
对 Ruby 的想法不感兴趣的 Blake 如此说。Sit… out, 就坐着不去掺和就可以了。

None taken.
没事。
— Neptune
Sun 对着 Neptune 说这些人都酷毙了之后，然后补充了一句 no offense to you guys, 毕竟 Neptune 整个 team 都是走型男路线。Neptune 并不是说 all right 之类的，而是说 none taken, 并没有 take 任何的 offense.

So why not let them play their part. After all, it isn’t a role they’ll have forever.
所以倒不如让他们享受当下。毕竟，他们也不能一直是个孩子。

Glynda 对学生们的喧闹感到生气的时候 Ozpin 如此安慰她。毕竟还是孩子，就让他们做自己该做的 play their part; 孩子也不是永远的身份。

Spare us the thought of your procreating.
别把我们当作你孩子。
— Emerald
Roman 看到又是 Emerald 和 Mercury 的时候就说怎么又是孩子过来了，就好像是离婚一样（Cinder 把孩子送来送去）。Emerald 觉得这样的说法很厌恶，于是就用了 spare us the thought 而不是 don’t think.

Two packed bags and a ticket out of Vale said otherwise.
两袋收拾好的行李和一张离开 Vale 的车票可不是这么说的。
— Mercury
Roman 说 Tukson 并不会离开，而 Mercury 则说行李都收拾好了车票都准备好了，可不是说不离开啊。固然行李和车票并不会说话，say 也只是“表达”的意思，otherwise 则是其他或者相反的东西。

You’re an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask.
对于那些持枪蒙面的恶棍来说，你就是灵感来源啊。
— Mercury
继续是 Mercury 损 Ramon 的对话。An inspiration to 亦褒亦贬。

Have a little faith.
给点信心吧。
— Cinder
Cinder 一直都不肯向 Roman 透露计划的详情，而只是再三向对方表示要相信她。这里不是 trust 也不是 confidence, 而是如信仰般的 faith.
Episode 02 Volume 02 — Welcome to Beacon (Transcript)

对了，那些看着有些碍眼。
— Ozpin
Ozpin 觉得 Ironwood 带来的舰队是在让人民紧张起来。Eyesore 眼睛酸就是碍眼的东西了。

Please, drop the formalities.
请，别拘谨。
— Ironwood
Ironwood 对进来的 Glynda 如此说。放下繁文缛节就是 drop the formalities 了吧。

Have you no heart?
你的良心呢？
— Ruby
Ruby 和同伴们在玩桌游的时候处于劣势。Have you no… 就是 you have no… 的倒装，用来强调。

I never took you as the board game playing type.
我没发现你是会玩桌游的。
— Sun
发现 Blake 也会玩桌游 Sun 很惊讶。Take … as 就是当作，而 type 只是被 playing 修饰的名词而已。

I’m sure that after a night of thwarting attempted robbery, you probably just want to go home and take a nap.
经历了这样一个成功阻止盗窃未遂的夜晚，你肯定很想就这样回去睡觉了吧。

Ozpin 对 Blake 如是说。主要是 thwart 太罕见，比起 prevent 这个用来强调阻止是成功的。

你的考试成绩亦是斐然。
— Ozpin
成绩好就不用 good grades 了直接就 flying colors.

But we are continuing to take strides to lessen the divide.
不过我们还在致力于减少这种分歧。

努力就不是 work hard 了而是 take stride 了。

And it is my sworn duty to protect this world from the forces that conspire against it.
保护这世界不被其他力量侵蚀，我义不容辞。

上一个季度里面 Weiss 说过 solemn duty, 而这里 Ozpin 说的是 sworn duty. 而 conspire 则是策划些阴谋等等。

为了成为能轻松打倒针对 Vale 王国的反动组织

比起 to, all in favor of 更加正式；而 singlehandedly 单手就能做到的事情就是 easily 很轻松了。

I love it when you’re feisty.
我喜欢你活泼的样子。
— Yang
喜欢什么东西的时候也可以用 it, 然后后面加个从句。而 feisty 则是 lively 另外的说法。

Port 教授在说着自己过去的风光史都忘记下课的时间了。用 time 来表示计时。

Jaune 想约 Weiss 但是不成功，被 Yang 如此说。

— Weiss
Ruby 在模仿 Weiss 说话之后 Weiss 表示不耐烦；直接就是不要做虫子了。

他们就是你们悲惨生活的罪魁祸首！

Roman 在煽动 Faunus 的时候说的话。这里 lot 指的是经历过的事情，lot in life 就是生活所经历过的这一切，对于 Faunus 来说就是来自人类的不公了。

面对 Mercury 的指明对战，Pyrrha 也没有退缩。

很明显我们水平相差很大。

与 Pyrrha 对战之后 Mercury 说着。Leagues apart 都是相差几个段位了。

我觉得这相当浪费时间。

在知道 Roman 又图谋不轨之后，Blake 总是心神不宁想着要解决这些事情，面对舞会也是觉得是浪费时间。Colossal 是比 big 和 large 还要巨大的大。

Jaune 是如此表示自己对 Weiss 的想念。Head over heels 真的是翻来覆去了。

说到也要做到哦，Pyrrha.

虽然 Pyrrha 这样鼓励 Jaune 向 Weiss 说出自己的想法，然而她自己对 Jaune 的想法却是只字不提。Nora 用的还是 preach 布道这么认真的词语。

听到 Ruby 说 Weiss 居然是自己一个人来舞会的；明明自己想约却约不了，她想约的 Neptune 却是被拒绝了，而且 Neptune 这个时候还和其他人谈笑风生，Jaune 就有些生气了。
本来的句子应该是 hold my beer, 一般这句话后面就是要开始做事情装了，大概有些像当年关羽温酒斩华雄吧……帮我拿着酒，我去去就回。

我很幸运能拥有过人的才能与机遇。

与其说 lucky 还是 blessed with 更加幸运。

好了，别奉承我了。

面对 Neptune 的称赞 Jaune 如此应答。本来 lie to my face 是对着我的脸当面对我撒谎，这里把他人的赞美之词就当作是奉承的撒谎来对待了。

我会留意时间的。

比起 notice the time 之类的，眼睛看在时钟上面才是更加地道。
Episode 08 Volume 02 — Field Trip (Transcript)

比起 happen, transpire 更加有一种从未知到已知的过程。

Glynda 则是不喜欢这种用武力解决问题的方法。表达“总是”并没有用到 always, 而是用上 must 和 everything.

明明就是 Ozpin 确信的事情，他还是用了 sneaking suspicion 这么一点点怀疑来表示了。

先是 curious about 用了 as to 来代替，出现不是 were 而是 find yourself, 果然是说话讲究的 Ozpin.

看着平时总是说话很多的 Oobleck 还以为是智力派，战斗起来也是不含糊。See somebody as 就把一个人看作什么了，而 much of 则是表示程度，一个战士的程度。

I did fancy myself more of an intellectual, but I can assure you, as a Huntsman, I’ve had my fair share of tussles.
我还真的很认同自己是个智力派，不过我也能让你相信，作为一个 Huntsman, 我在战斗方面也是很有经验。

Oobleck 都不用 consider 而直接用 fancy, 真的是对自己的智力人设很满意。而表示足够的分量，用 fair share 也是够了。

Preposterous 来表示与常识违背。

嗯（历史）是（社会的）肾脏吧，非要我说的话。

Wager 是 bet 更加正式的说法，这里还用了虚拟语气。

那些心怀恶意的人都有着这些特质。

说起“具备”的时候，Oobleck 用的是 harboring, 恍如恶意在那里停留一样。

恐怕你的狙击枪在面对那么巨型的 Grimm 的时候，除了惹怒它们之外，都做不了什么吧。

只能 can only 都能用 will do nothing more than 来表示了。

Interrogate 就是质疑和疑问。

总是被 Ruby 打扰计划的 Roman 逮到了 Ruby 也是新仇旧恨一起报。Through 就是通过，还没通过就还没完了。

比起 mistake 这种是自己做错事情的表述，Roman 只是认为自己做的事情出了差错，本身并不是错的。

Ironwood 对已经被逮捕的 Roman 如此说。这个真的是字面上的自己找来的。

I’m not the biggest fan of local law enforcement.
对于遵守本地法律我可没多大兴趣啊。

对一些事情感兴趣或者表示赞同就是 fan, 而不感兴趣或者不赞同就不是 fan 了。这里不是 biggest 只是说明自己并不是最赞同程度最高的那个而已。
没想到整理第二季的时候相距第一季已经一年了。还是要更加勤快才可以。
